OVER 1,300 ENTER 1998 GUARDIAN RAC CLASSIC

Entries have closed for the world's largest motoring event, the Guardian Insurance RAC Classic, which takes place on Sunday 31 May.

No fewer than 1,338 classic cars have been entered, all at least 20 years old. They will set out from eight starting points: Bath, Brooklands, Cheltenham, Chester, Ipswich, Lytham St Anne's (leaving on Saturday 30 May), Nottingham and Silverstone to drive on one of 12 routes, all of which finish with a lap of the British Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone.
